So I finally got around to making a cart for the welder. Here are a few pics.If you have any questions or would like to know any specifics please don't hesitate to ask, also if you would like to see additional pics of anything close-up I will provide additional pics.
Reply:Saw this yesterday, and thought how nice an clean it looked build wise.  Nice.All my carts are thrown together sorta sloppy affairs"Any day above ground is a good day"http://www.farmersamm.com/
Reply:Nice, what color did you use?
Reply:@ farmersamm - Thank you, I will typically spend a little extra time on a project to get the aesthetics just the way I want picture it in my head.@ kald - I used the KRYLON DUAL (banner red)
Reply:So the paint dried fully yesterday, which allowed me to strap on the 25/75 gas bottle and set the welder in place. Here are a few pics of the complete setup.Last edited by Jwsimpleville; 05-10-2013 at 11:06 AM.
Reply:Nice cart, I have a similar setup, a 180c, with the same pathetically small gas cylinder (1 hr burn time) that only runs out 5 minutes after the LWS closes for the weekend!! I looked at a larger cylinder recently, well worth it in my books, costs almost the same to fill and only runs out Monday, 5 minutes after the LWS closes. Again, kudos on your cart, have you considered a rail to hang your griders from? If you decide to go with a larger gas cylinder at some point, you might need to consider ballast with the raised center of gravity.   When a welder tells you to "stick it", what do they really mean?"In a time of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act." - George Orwell
Reply:Nice cart man!

Reply:That was my intent, to get as close as possible (as cheap as possible) to the Lincoln Red. I think in all 10" Pneumatic Tires $3x2 = $63" Swivel casters $5x2 = $10Krylon Banner Red Paint $5x2 = $10Scrap 5ft 1 1/2" Tubing $2x3 = $6I have about $32 after the steel, casters and paint. 100lb capacity HF Welding Cart = $49.99 So the way I see it my cart looks better, will hold more weight, and didn't cost me as much out of pocket. Sure if you consider the time of 3 hours I put into making it and the cost of the wire and gas mine prob cost a bit more but it will outlast 3 of those HF carts.Last edited by Jwsimpleville; 05-11-2013 at 05:59 PM.
Reply:So I sold my original welding cart, which caused me to have to build another one. Here is a few pics of the new cart after I finished it this morning. Here it is with the welder on the cart.
