Looking for ideas for table casters

I know I have seen it before on here, but lord knows you guys understand the chit I have to try and wade through when I search 'welding table casters' on this site! I'm looking for the guys who used bottle jacks on the ends of their tables with springs to lower and raise their casters. It looked alot like a press just with wheels underneath...Also, I'm FINALLY moving into a 40x50 shop and am looking to make one of the walls into my cutting area via homemade conveyor roller tables. Any ideas on that would be appreciated as well! I'm thinking I will build it to stick out about 18" or so, with 15' on the left side, room for my evolution mitre saw, then 10' on the right side along with storage underneath for drops.

Reply:This will be for my 2nd table, it will be a 4x8 either 3/8" or 1/2" top, probably on 2x2 or 3x1.5 3/16
Reply:I have a 4x8 with 3/8 top.  I just put 1200 lb locking casters on.  No need for anything else.  Table with vise is bolted to floor and wall and I really wouldn't care to have a big vise on any table not bolted down due to the things I work on.
Reply:Here are a few pictures of a "simple" way to move a table. I do like the link that oldendumb has included, that isn't too far from my locality as the crow flies. This system utilizes one wheel to actually allow for movement and is activated by a mechanical cam system. Best regards, Allan Attached Imagesaevald
