Reply:welding for extended periods of time and/or higher amperage welding.  It also permits the use of a smaller torch (smaller than an equivalent amperage rated torch that is air-cooled). 1st on WeldingWeb to have a scrolling sig! Reply:A water cooled torch is smaller and lighter for a given urrent rating, you can use thinner gloves since the torch body wont warm up which greatly improves dexterity and control and therefore weld appearance/quality, and maybe most importantly the leads are much more flexible since there a lot less copper in the power lead.Welding/Fab Pics: www.UtahWeld.com
