Well, I finally decided to make one.  Now that it's getting warmer, I plan to do a good bit of work in the shop this spring.  I've got a second welding cart on the list, as well as a table, and some landscaping projects for mom's business.  And if you can see by the pics...I really, really need a welding table   Suprisingly, for what I'm working with, it's only 1/8" out of square, and has a 1/16' "twist" in it sitting on the casters.  I can live with that.  I cut out a wedge in each corner, leaving the outer side intact and just bent it around.  It's 1.5" 1/8th wall.  More to come when I get time... Reply:I did a little more today.  This one shows the basic design.  I've got family in, so I didn't get too much accomplished. Attached ImagesMiller Syncrowave 200MillerMatic 180 AutoSetHobart Airforce 500iVictor O/A (80cf)
Reply:Are you sure that 1.5" 11 gage tubing is going to be strong enough to hold that MM? I would consider bigger wheels for it though. Those don't look like they will roll over an extension cord. Is that going to be high enough for you? Is there room for expansion/additions to it later?

Reply:Looking good so far 700R!
Reply:Nice, you should have got the family out there to help. Heavier is better. Especially when you  can get a deal on material.
Reply:Trying to visualize where the tank might go.  How do u like the MM 180?   I got the 211 about 8 mo.ago.  Had some extra cash, so I sprung for the bigger machine.  They are both great machines    Good luck with it.

Reply:Were you  wearing a mask when you were dealing with Grainger?    Good deal

Reply:Originally Posted by 700RA couple years ago, they had a pricing error in their system for it.  It was supposed to be $1.181.  However somehow it was listed at $395.84.  I heard about it, and placed an order in store.  Mine went through, and I got it!
Reply:Well, I finally got time to do some more today.  I ran out of wire an hour into it, so I called it quits for the day and went to Airgas.  All they carry is the Radnor brand...and I didn't want to take a chance with it so I passed.  I'll go out later and get some more Hobart brand.   Wanna know the sad part?  I could have finished it with my Syncro...but the thought never occured to me      It was no more than 5 feet away in plain sight....The second picture shows one of my first overhead welds.  98% of my projects I can put in the position I want, so I've avoided them as much as I could.  Not anymore!  Good enough for me! Reply:I switched up my technique part way through this build.  Ever since I started welding about 6 years ago in college, I always, always pulled the weld.  I changed and started to push the puddle, and I noticed a pretty big difference for the better.  I think I'll keep trying it...Miller Syncrowave 200MillerMatic 180 AutoSetHobart Airforce 500iVictor O/A (80cf)
Reply:Wow nice cart 700r !!!!!!I will try my best to be understoodMY DREAM GARAGE
Reply:Nice looking cart! Should hold any welder you put on it!
Reply:I might have to change the design a little.  I built it for a 80cf cylinder...however I just bought a 300cf cylinder   I don't know what I was thinking...I haven't had to fill my 80 in almost 2 years, and it still has over 1500psi in it...Miller Syncrowave 200MillerMatic 180 AutoSetHobart Airforce 500iVictor O/A (80cf)
Reply:I'm having a bit of a setback with the cylinder.  In the Ebay auction, I made an offer for the tank.  The seller counter offered and I accepted it.  The seller didn't double check with me before counter offering, whether my address was commercial or residential.  So I am trying to find a commercial address that I can use.  A residential address will cost him $242 just in shipping cost.  We might have to meet halfway...I don't know yet.  But I am waiting on the tank to arrive before I finish my cart, as the size of the tank might require me to modify it.Miller Syncrowave 200MillerMatic 180 AutoSetHobart Airforce 500iVictor O/A (80cf)
Reply:I just bought an 80cf of argon from my LWS for $175. I asked for a 40cf and they were out so they cut me a deal.
Reply:My LWS wanted "Around $200" +tax for a 80cf tank.  I got this 300cf tank for $250.  Seemed like a no-brainer...Miller Syncrowave 200MillerMatic 180 AutoSetHobart Airforce 500iVictor O/A (80cf)
