well yesterday i was about done in weld shop when my instructor asked if i would stay inbetween classes and help him he said ill teach ya how to TIG aluminum that was all he had to say .so the project was for a duck boat the wood between the transom was shot and the motor caused the transom to buckle we used angled aluminum to bolt to the transom with grade 8 bolts then took a comealong to the transom and the other end to a forklift and pulled it back to level and inline .next we welded aluminum to the bottom of the hull and added braces from the floor to the aluminum angle .i have 100% faith that transom wont buckle again .
