What is 4 way clamping in Structural Steel Welding?

Hi All,I have heard about 3 axis clamping system used in structural steel weldings, but came to know there is 4 way clamping method also? Can you pls give me more guidance on this?- How it is used in Structural Steel welding?- It will be great if you can share any weblink for pics or videos on this.Thanks a lot!AK
Reply:I weld structural steel for a living. What are you wanting to clamp? My most used clamp is a bessy clamp. Nothing fancy required. Reply:Honestly, I can use a simple square, tape measure and a level to accomplish what that 3 way axis clamp will do. The level and square will do it much more quickly. No messing around with that fancy clamp. I've never worked for a company who supplied anything like that and I do lots of work in the Ironworker fab shop.$200 for that 3 axis clamp at Northern.
