So I got a 225 g7 for cheap managed to get it running maintenanced it new oil, filter ,fuel filter, plugs (ngk 3522), air cleaner, battery ect. It fires right up idles high then comes down seems to run pretty well on high idle but once idle comes down the left seems to misfire intermittently while the right runs super smooth. Any advice I've never dealt with one of these ,pointers on where to start I'm very mechanically able I was thinking maybe a bad plug, maybe a sticky valve, anybody have compression specs? Is there something I should start looking at or am I on the right track..?

Reply:I don’t know the answer so I didn’t  post . Thanks
Reply:What ? Are you part of  the generation that wants " everyone to do it for me" ? The time it took you to rudely respond to your own post several things could have happened with basic mechanics 101-Google your welder. Theres endles pages of parts diagrams, user guides,  etc. What was the compression on both cylinders ? ( cold and hot )Does it have clean fuel in it and when was the last time carbs were cleaned ?Whats the condition of the wires and plugs ?Does the misfire sound come from the carb or exhaust side ?That's a good start for a person with 2 posts.
Reply:Which engine do you have?  Give us enough info to answer.  Missfire would tend to be electrical or sticking valve.

Reply:Why is that people will reply to negativity and insults faster than anything?  and do I sound like I'm the generation that wants it done for me? I'm the generation that knows better than to spend money on **** that's not nessesary and ask someone who's more experienced with his application.  Brigg and Stratton twin, pulled the head valve is not stuck, new gas, carb was disassembled and cleaned, misfire coming from the exhaust side, haven't done a compression test yet, new plugs, wires look nice not rotten and arcs strong to ground, and I looked on Google and found nothing that explained my issue so I came here.no carbon build up, new air and fuel filter ,new plugs, new oil and filter. I'm leaning towards the coil but suspicious of compression does anybody have a compression spec.? Or the magnets on the flywheel are they replaceable looks like previous owner didn't gap coil correctly the head of screw is rubbed flush with magnet.

Reply:I've figured exactly nothing out..that's why I'm here ...and what if they are both out of spec and I'm running in circles here.. I just wanted to confirm the valve wasn't sticking. And my compression tester was put in a box that I was unable to locate at the time and i just found it gonna test them tomorrow. If it's low I have a bad valve or seat or cam lobe is s*** or head gasket failure... But like I said the magnet on flywheel looks like it wasn't gapped correctly by previous owner as the screw head has been rubbed flush...
