superflex tig hose awesome

I just wanted to say I've been using a WP-17 tig torch with a two piece cable (vinyl gas and rubber power).  I recently purchased a one piece ck superflex braided hose and adapter from USAweld.  The adapter is super high quality and the hose is amazing.  It literally makes it feel like you are holding nothing other than the torch.  I had to look to see the hose didn't fall off while I was welding!  Makes it so much easier. If you are thinking about it, don't delay, go buy a superflex hose...so worth it. I'm upset I've waited this long now.  It really makes tig welding so much easier when it is no effort to put the torch where you want to.
Reply:I've just bought a wp9 superflex and also couldn't believe how much lighter it is than the regular type rubber hoses i've always used,i have also fitted a zipper cover to protect it from snagging the hose on sharp objects.

Reply:When I got my TA 185 package, it came with  2 piece connection to the '17 torch. I got a superflex & adapter about 2 years ago. About 1 year ago I bought a ck 110 (hold it like a pen, nice for small stuff), & got another superflex & adapter, no wrenching involved.  -c-
Reply:The Superflex in water cooled/Binzel- HTP etc are nice too. I am fine with the two piece air-cooled, with the flex gas line. Way tougher then most, and work just as well for me. It does not need a sheath to protect the cable. Reply:Watching the advert video that CK has on you tube  those hoses look to me like they are silicone.   Silicone tubing is very flexible and soft to handle.  I use it on my brewery.Hey~!! It's a hobby. It's not supposed to make sense~!!

Reply:Yup, they are built just like a standard one-piece cable but are extremely light and flexible. They also come in water cooled. I do not know if they have a 2-piece air cooled cable

Reply:Gamble - My old 2 piece cable is heavy and stiff - but the cable and gas line can be replaced seperately.Does that count as an advantage? Reply:Im no rep, buy CK has some really innovative products. There standard torches are ok, nothing special, but their heavy duty line and micro line stuff is great. I have a mini 200 amp  torch on the superflex and it is the only rig I use any more. Same size as a 150, but heavy duty, never gets hot, and the superflex makes walking a dream because it so light.The CKC150 is another amazing torch, the gas valve is great, great walking torch, only reason I don't use it is I gave it as a gift.Constant Current Weldor.
Reply:Out of the (3) torches that I use the CK superflex is lighter and more flexible than either the Weldcraft and WeldTec braided flex hoses that I have. Also I noticed the zippered nylon cover on the other (2) torches does add stiffness compared to the velcro leather cover (CK) I have  on my CK20 with the superflex hoses.(2) Miller Dynasty 350 (1) Miller 250x (1) Torchmate 4x4 with PM 45
