Will a LP regulator work for acetylene?

I have a chance to buy a Victor  Liquefied Petroleum regulator with high pressure gauges. Will the regulator work with acetylene? I can put lower pressure  acetylene gauges on it and regulate the line pressure with the T shaped handle.  Since the regulator will handle high LP pressure, wouldnt it work well for the lower pressure of acetylene?  Thanks!

Reply:Unlike LPG, free acetylene can explosively polymerize at pressures over 15psi. Using an LPG regulator which can allow such internal pressures to exist if used for acetylene is foolish. Reply:Is the regulator a good deal cause they are nice to have. I have a low pressure one and have used it for my atmospheric propane forge.
