Reply:Kind of reminds me of a phrase I've seen in at least one instruction manual for a product made in China.  Apparently "Assembly Instructions" in Chinese gets translated to "Description of the Erection" in EnglishMiller CST 280Lincoln PowerMig 180 DualEverlast PowerTig 185 Dual Voltage Hypertherm Powermax 30 XPVictor Medalist 250 Torch rig-Local 602-
Reply:It looks like the OP can't read either so maybe it's appropriate. When you "quote" something, you should at least be accurate. I think the word at the top of the page should have been a red flag... foreward?
Reply:It is a little funny. A lot of guys get in the sheet talking mode over stuff like this which I don't really care for. These manuals  all have to be translated and at times stuff gets lost. Most of the people here reading this only speak one language anyway so they can't really talk sheet on anybody. I bet nobody here that is fluent in 6 languages fell out of their chair on this one. Me personally I have been helped out enough times around the globe where I was the dumbass foreigner by people who could have been shouting speak whatever language of the country I was in.
Reply:We have some new Chinese motors at the pellet mill. The manufacturer's name is cast into the iron in two places. On one, it is spelled two different ways. I don't speak Chinese, but I would notice a spelling error even in another language. An optimist is usually wrong, and when the unexpected happens is unprepared. A pessimist is usually right, when wrong, is delighted, and well prepared.
Reply:Here is the warning lable on a Jet cutoff saw, "Avoid Injuly"……I guess you can only use it 11 months each year. At least the translater wrote it down the way it sounded. Attached Images

Reply:If you buy a Harbour frieght compact bender you get a manual that is literally a xerox copy of the more expensive US made Shop Outfitters bender, they didn't even try to hide it except every where it said Shop Outfitter it was covered with white out and Harbour freight was written in its place.
Reply:Its not just Chinese manuals.Had a German Inker (it puts black dots on parts to indicate - in our case - the part was bad).  Well the ink dried in it (I guess you need a few bad parts every now and then). We decided to order new parts and get a few spares.  Technician was scratching his head.German word for feather = FederGerman word for light spring = Leichte FederOf course the parts listing just said "feather".Con Fuse!Miller Dynasty 350Millermatic 350P-Spoolmatic 30AMiller Multimatic 200Hypertherm PowerMax 1000G3Miller Maxstar 200DX
