Hey guys, I'm looking for a second hand auto darken helmet, preferably a pretty nice one like a miller elite, a jackson, or something. Doesn't have to look pretty, I just want it to be functional. I had a pretty good Hobart auto darken that was a gift to me from TSC several years ago, but it kicked the bucket.I cannot for the life of find a replacement lens either, its some sort of an oddball size. I had to get an 89$ special to finish up the job with and It is absolutely abhorrent. The head strap doesn't stay clicked into position, its either to tight and it wont fold down or its to loose and wont stay up, plus the light-dark time is slow enough you get a nice white flash every time you strike an arc So what I'm mainly looking for I guess if someone just upgraded to the latest and greatest and has last years model or whatever laying around their not using. I'm not expecting a freebie but I'm not shellin out $200 for one either. Thanks. |
