The one that is  missing from all Victor welders of that class. You know, the copper one, the nice one, the one they show you in the advertising literature and the brochure and manual.  Yah that one. They don't ship the welder with that one, instead they ship this cheesy sheet metal one with copper tips. The unlawfulness of this aside, it is also fraud.   You could haul them into  court  on the theory of fraud in the inducement and demand they compensate you accordingly.  And you'd win.Or you could do as I did and just contact them. They told me to bugger off. Well more precisely they told me to go through my retailer. So I contacted the good folks at CyberWeld who since May 23, 2013 have been after Victor   to get me that work clamp.  I've had various emails back and forth with CyberWeld and had remained convinced that they were being diligent, but that Victor was being a total turd and blowing them off just as they blew me off. But Cyberweld (being really good people) have decided to take matters into their own hands and are sending me a clamp from their inventory and will proceed  on their own with Victor. Shame on Victor.Praise on CyberWeld.Hey~!! It's a hobby. It's not supposed to make sense~!!
Reply:Somewhere in their literature is a disclaimer that specifications are subject to change.  I like the Tweco clamp myself, but the one they supplied you is better than many OEM clamps.

Reply:Lincoln and Miller ship $4000 welders with work clamps that are just as bad. Much easier to just order a Lenco or Tweco clamp and be done with it.JohnA few weldersA lot of hammersA whole lot of C-clamps
Reply:That's what my 181i came with
Reply:The February 2013 sales brochure for the Fab 211i shows the stamped steel clamp that you are complaining about.http://victortechnologies.com/IM_Upl...2)_Feb2013.pdfI've been using the stamped steel style clamps for 25 years and don't have an issue with them as long as they are of good quality. The Thermal arc 201 TS at work came with that brass clamp, and I dislike the thing because the spring is way to stiff.Last edited by Dan; 07-23-2013 at 10:20 PM.ESAB Migmaster 250 Hobart Ironman 230Multimatic 215TWECO Fabricator 181i & 211iHH125EZ - nice little fluxcore only unitMaxstar 150 STH - very nice
Reply:I actually prefer the cheaper copper tipped stamped steel one.  Much easier on the hands when trying to clamp to something thick.  Much easier to clamp to small round stock.  Never had a problem with the grounding from one.  And my Dynasty 200 DX Tigrunner came with a stamped steel ground clamp.  Maybe it's just me.....TA Arcmaster 300CM3XMT 304S22P12 suitcase feederX-Treme 12VSOptima pulserTA161SMaxstar 150STLHypertherm PM45OP setupStihl 020AVP, 039, 066 Magnum
