I'm new to these forums. I'm about to buy a Miller CST 250 as my first welder. Will be using it for the tig welding but it came with no torch and it's also air cooled. Just wondering if there are any certain torches that I would have to buy that are compatible with that welder. Will be using it for mild steel and some stainless nothing thicker than 3/8 in steel. Also is it worth it to switch over to liquid cooled torches. I'm in school for welding currently and I use liquid cooled torches everyday and haven't seen how hot the air cooled ones get. Just wondering a price range on how much it would cost to switch. I won't be just a weekend welder it will be in use almost everyday. Any advice helps I'm new to this. Thanks, Austin
Reply:you can use any torch, but you wont have any controls, which is fine. you'll probabaly have to stay under what your torchs amps is rated for, which will be under 150 somewhere
