Still trying to make a move on my 1st machine and found this.Lincoln idealarc sp200 mig welder. 220 volts single phase machine.Machine is equipped with all optional features.  Comes with a New 300 amp radnor mig gun ,a cart with bottle rack and a #300 -75%/25% gas bottle. Is in use at a shop and can be tried out before purchasing.everything works great! Ready to weld!Comes with everything and works, fella says he has 3 of them amongst others and just doesn't need this one anymore.Does 500.00 sound ok and?My shop is set up for a welder with a 100 amp single phase service, I will be using it for basic tractor, around the house stuff and I'd like a machine I could keep for a whileHe says this is a '90 model alsoThank youPugnare Fornicare Au Mort
Reply:That's a pretty nice mid sized machine. I had the SP 150 which is its little brother. It was my first wire welder, and a very nice little machine. Had the wheel set on it, just like a bigger one.$500 is pretty fair for a 200 amp MIG welder, and the new gun and cylinder are a great bonus. They're kinda big and boxy, but solid performers. I traded a Colt Double Eagle .45 ACP straight across for mine. It was literally like new and when I sold it a few years later to upgrade to a bigger machine, I got like $700 for it.I would go grab it. You can run it off a 50 amp breaker, prolly even a little less. Post up how you make out. Expert Garage Hack....https://www.facebook.com/steven.webber.948
Reply:That's a good deal.I used to own one, and got to use another one at a buddy's shop. It's bullet proof.Just a couple welders, big hammers, grinders, and torches.Work will free you.Men in dirty jeans built this country, while men in clean suits have destroyed it. Trump/Carson 2016-2024
Reply:I'd check into the ownership of that cylinder though. Around here those big ones are pretty much rental-only, and if that's the case then the only value that cylinder will have is the gas left in it. Though if you're just a new hobbyist, a giant bottle like that will probably last you a very, very long time...possibly forever. I have a 92cf bottle of C25, have welded a handful of reasonably sized projects, and still have about 1/3 of the cylinder left. I use 18 cfh, which if that 300cf bottle is full would give you over 16 hours of weld time. And if my math is correct, that would last for around 50lbs of wire (assuming 200ipm 0.035).If he owns the bottle, $500 is a really good deal. If it's a rental, the price seems about average.
