I love old trucks, and the '51 F1 is a favorite.  I did this piece at the beginning of the year...I've actually purchased a '54 F100 since then.  Would like to do a bagged "resto-mod" '51 in the future though, kinda like this.I don't always sketch things out first, but did on this project. Reply:Amazing attention to detail. I also love the look of old trucks, I just wish I had the talent to do what you've done here. Simply Amazing!
Reply:jdustu - My first GrillingUntil I was six I lived next door to a '51 - it was a daily driver.Early in this age range you take things as you see them.Upon first view, the F1 captured my child's-eye, in 'real life', this was my first encounter with what I had only seen in National Geographic. From the front - I was so young that I thought the F1 was an animal.Kudos for your next-generation grill.Opus
