Reply:Look for a used Miller DialArc 250 or Airco Bumblebee 250 (both are the same welders). You can find either for around $400 or less and they are nearly indestructible.

Reply:Picked up my Dialarc 250 HF for $50 in perfect working order and only slightly beat up. Ground cable, clamp and welding rods set me back $75, so they do run the gamut in price. If you're not in a hurry, keep your eyes open and be ready to jump when a deal presents itself. Older transformer machines are nearly indestructable and come up on CL regularly in the $100 range around here.
