http://www.ckworldwide.com/steady-grip%E2%84%A2.htmlanyone use it yet? looks kind of pricy for $240, but I think it is the most ergonomic way to control amperage. 95% of the tig welding we do is on a flat welding table with lots of space. I think this would be great for training a new persons to weld. I actually suggested this about a year ago, just never found a good potentiometer to use that would be rugged enough to withstand constant strong grip forces. Maybe I'll buy one and see what potetiometer they are using?
Reply:I hope that comes with that torch. Gamble made a thread on one
Reply:I'm guessing not. That's would be too good of a deal Expert Garage Hack....https://www.facebook.com/steven.webber.948
Reply:hells no, that torch is $200 by it self!the potentiometer is probably about $80 to $100, the rest is a fancy plastic handle, problem is it could take you testing several potentiometers before you found a good one, and by that point you could of just bought it. |
