I have a late 40's early 50's model SA-200 that im currently overhauling. I am now to the point of destruction!! I started to tear down the motor, and currently trying to seperate the motor from the generator. I've tryed cutting the fan shroud to get to the 8 bolts holding the fan and shaft to the motor. That didnt work! The motor is torn down, so the next step is to try and pull the whole assembly out of the engine side. Am i missing something here? Why did lincoln make it so damn difficult? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!!Here are some pictures of my progress!! Attached Images
Reply:You could try some of the pro mechanics rust penetrating oils, much better than WD-40, works wonders, dont remember the name.

Reply:I've already removed those bolts though, and it's still hung up? Is there something Im missing? Do those bolts even hold the generator to the flywheel??? |
