Reply:The P&H building is near here (it should have its own zip code)I have a couple buddies that are engineers/CWIs there, I will ask them what they know.Yup
Reply:Years ago we had a rental fleet of these machines. I will try to find an old manual. I believe they were made by ONAN and labeled for several different manufacturers. Is the machine working?Gary Haunemail [email protected] http://haunsystemsrepair.com
Reply:I have an old P&H Hansen "Smootharc" model WA-200 generator from a mobile rig which was powered by a Wisconsin V-4, IIRC. The engine was beyond hope of rebuilding so I finally scrapped it; it's the same engine used on lots of Agricultural equipment like balers, I was told. Some years ago,I contacted a company in the Los Angeles area which supposedly took over the P & H company long ago, about my welding generator and they sent me some information, but it wasn't close to matching my unit. I took some shots of this thing some while ago, but would have to look for them. Any available of your rig? Any idea how old yours is?
Reply:Thank you for the prompt replies. The portable welding machine does work and I believe it was built in approximately 1968. |
