Got broken into about three weeks ago, pretty much cleaned me out. They stole my mig, plasma cutter, torches, spool guns,my bobcat 225,dimension 302 and pretty much anything else that wasn't bolted down.I've been getting by since the break-in with my srh-333 and a miller regency 250 with a 30a spoolgun. With my old setup(miller 250x)I was able to use my spoolgun for aluminum and my mig for steel. Now I'm forced to use my spoolgun for both and it's becoming a real hassle switching spools back and fourth. Was wondering if a 60 series wire feed would be compatible with the regency 250 or should I go another route?
Reply:I can't help with your question, but man, sorry to hear about your loss. That's like loosing some family members.Last edited by AKweldshop; 03-08-2015 at 01:06 AM.Just a couple welders, big hammers, grinders, and torches.Work will free you.Men in dirty jeans built this country, while men in clean suits have destroyed it. Reply:Thanks AKweldshop.Loss is a good way to describe it-felt like somebody died when I found out.Luckily I have a few old machines stashed away so I'm able to keep going.
Reply:If the regency has a 24 volt circuit any Miller feeder should work. I think a 22A would be sufficient but a 50 or 60 series would work as well. Look under owners manuals on the Miller site and it should how the feeder hooks up. That really sucks to have the bulk of your equipment stolen. I'd be looking on Craigslist and everywhere else someone might advertise it. Also check nearby city's and even pawn shops. I worked at a shop that bought 14 new XMT 304's and wire feeders and made carts for them. One of them went missing and the company was offering a reward. Nobody knew anything. About 6 month's later my buddy,  who had worked at shop, heard about a welder some guy had for sale. He went to look at and wouldn't touch it with a 10' pole! He didn't report the guy because he was pizzed off at the company for leaving a walk in door on the shop open and getting overspray on his new Triumph T595. The machine was still sitting on the cart just like all 13 other ones in the shop. You would think the guy would at least get rid of the custom shop built cart. I don't know if that guy took the machine but they figure it was one of the delivery drivers bringing supplies to the shop. With a power tailgate it would be pretty easy to roll it on when no one's paying any attention.Last edited by Welder Dave; 03-08-2015 at 03:36 AM.
