Not really a welding question but here goes. I've got a DeWalt belt sander that destroys normal hardware store belts, they usually tear at the seam and then it's over way before the belt is worn out. Anyone have suggestions on some better brands of belts that I can order?HH 187Miller Bluestar1EAHP AlphaTig 200X
Reply:grizzly has a lot
Reply:Some brands of belts are directional. Check for arrows on the inside of belt."The man of great wealth owes a peculiar obligation to the State, because he derives special advantages from the mere existence of government." Reply:Yeah, only ones I can find locally aren't directional..... kinda think that's the problem. Most look like the glue on the seam melts and lets it pull apart. I'll check grizzly out.HH 187Miller Bluestar1EAHP AlphaTig 200X
Reply:aren't they all directional? the only belts I've ever used had a directional arrow on them.....but I have only ever had hand held belt sanders.
Reply:I've heard that these often have a limited shelf life, the glue dries out. You might be getting stuck with old stock. |
