one of the above arrived today.must say on my first impression im impressed.it cut 3"x3"x1/4" angle with the all round blade that came with it very accurately and quickly.lots of hot shavings flying around.I have used a 14" Milwaukee with the carbide blade on the same material and it also worked very well.if i had only one to chose then at the moment id go rage3. more versatile and the slide function helps you get the correct cutting angle on the bladeG
Reply:The shavings are downright dangerous!  They come out at high speed and are HOT.I wasn't so impressed with the blade that came on it.  I now have some of the "steel" blades so maybe they're a little better.  I'll let you know when I get some time on them. The holddown clamps could be better.  How about a "pop-over" with a screw adjustment (similar to how a vice-grip works)?  This would be really nice for doing all those repeat cuts.  The top holddown clamp can't really be used on the motor side of the blade.  I've already bent the horizontal part of the top holddown clamp.  I see an over-engineered rebuilt coming.  The halfnut on the front clamp is a nice idea.  I thought it would be crappy when I first saw it, but it actually works fairly well. The bump stop is just plain stupid.  What happens when I want to cut something longer than the bump stop can be adjusted?  Do I just fold the bump stop down?..... Nooooo I have to disassemble the whole thing to get it out of the way!!  Put a hinge on the damn thing.  Also why is the smooth side of the bump stop not the one that's square to the table?  The ribbed side is square!  Which side is the 'front' side?!?!The laser line is pretty much useless also.  After a day of cutting, the plastic lens is so cloudy the laser draws a 1/4" wide fuzzy line.  They were nice enough to include a second plastic lens.  So I guess I can get two days of use out of it. WooooooEnough complaining....I actually like the saw.  I don't regret buying it.  If I could do it over again I would still buy it.  It's a chopsaw that does mitre cuts.  What's not to like.Dynasty200DX w/coolmate1MM210MM VintageESAB miniarc161ltsLincoln AC225Victor O/A, Smith AW1ACutmaster 81IR 2475N7.5FPRage3Jancy USA1019" SBAEAD-200LE

Reply:Yes, the all purpose blade that comes with it doesnt last long.I'm thinking of making a table/ bench for it so i can clamp effectively with my own/ home made clamp close to the blade. something that will stand up to use for years.I think the hold downs and clamps that came with it arnt "industrial" grade.i think it is still a good buy.G
Reply:oh.and an electro magnet behind the blade as that shavings are hot even if the work piece is not.anyone got a broken mag drill??G
