i have a thermal arc gas drive 270 amp. i am a welder by trade and also do many side jobs. well i was welding this morning and all of a sudden it got stuck on high idle and now wont weld. any ideas on what may cause this to happen and why it wont weld being stuck on high idle???

Reply:i'd check the linkage to the solenoid that controls the idle ( at the engine) and then the wire connections to the pc board that controls it. Maybe something came loose, or if not that might be a problem with the control board
