Reply:yep, they were the first commercially viable inverters. at last count i have 8 of them. but slowly phasing them out as support for them turned to crap and moved across the country.Vantage 500's LN-25's, VI-400's, cobramatics, Miller migs, synch 350 LX, Powcon inverters, XMT's, 250 Ton Acurrpress 12' brake, 1/4" 10' Atlantic shear,Koikie plasma table W/ esab plasmas. marvel & hyd-mech saws, pirrana & metal muncher punches.
Reply:I had one for a while, never welded with it but to make sure it worked when I bought it, doubled my money on it, great machine
Reply:Powcon made some great machines. I used to run one everyday. I still have one as a back up to my Dynasty 350. There is no support for them anymore. It's defiantly worth getting running. It's a nice machine when it runs.(Home)Miller Maxstar 152 (sold)MM211/spool gunLincoln AC 225C(Work)Dynasty 350Powcon 300STLincoln SP-175TWeldlodgic AWS150sWeldlodgic AWS300Custom Resistance seam weldersCambridge Vacuum EB weldersI smell something burning.
Reply:One of the shops I worked at in Arizona, early 90's, had several of them. I liked using them, and don't remember ever having any trouble with them. Only thing that stands out was guys would run the bottle out, then grab another machine. Then the next one to use it would have to put a new bottle on it. ******** !!!!
Reply:I'm pretty sure I have a manual for it if you need it. PM me if you do.
Reply:I had a couple of them, good machines. Reply:I bought one with the wire feeder in 1998, and sold it in 2004. It was a hell of a nice machine, but parts were already expensive. I paid $125 and sold it for $1500.
