Oxygen concentrator

Reply:They run at a pretty low pressure, You might be able to use it to feed a small compressor that could bump up the pressure, like an air brush compressor.
Reply:You do not want to be compressing oxygen with a compressor not made for the job (even an oil-less airbrush compressor).The output pressure will be 3-5PSI.  Flow rate is pretty low.  They're often used with torches, but are not going to be usable with a cutting torch.
Reply:HI, that topic has interested me for a while.......I think you could use one of those peristaltic type compressors to bump up the pressure.They work by squeezing a rubber tube with rollers on a wheel.........this allows the contents, whatever, to be moved without gumming up the works or getting moving parts full of whatever you're pumping.You could also make a gasometer, where you have a container like a bucket upside down in another bigger container the right way up like a bigger bucket, and have water surrounding the bottom.The gas is fed into the inner container and tries to lift the bucket up out of the water or push the water out by the increasing pressure.The atmospheric pressure is approx. 15 psi, so that is the max pressure you can get to.Avoid any contact with oil or grease as the oxygen will support spontaneous combustion and you'll get a big bang.Ian.
