Hello all, I had one of my regulators die on a mig I just picked up...So I was crusing fleabay for a new flowmeter for it and I happened across this http://www.ebay.com/itm/Electirc-36V...item4d13c69d4b "Electirc(yup misspelled on the item description, just screams quality product to me) 36V Argon CO2 Mig Tig Flowmeter Regulator Welding Gas Welder Regulator(COOL!!! It will even regulate my welder for me.YES!!!!)" I can't say I have ever seen a regulator like this in my travels...What exactly is the purpose of the 110v cord on it? is it some sort of on board gas solenoid or what? Just curious as for its use.... must be super high quality product as you can buy one for under 50.00 bucks new..lol don"t think I will be adding it to my tool crib....lolBut I suppose if any one could school me on its use that would be cool.....Millermatic 30aMillermatic 210Miller thunderbolt 225 ac/dc/ccMiller HF15-1-wg tigLincoln ranger 10(honda powered)Cebora 175 mig Too damn many tools but oddly not enough......
Reply:I could be heated. If you have a high enough flow rate it will freeze up.......not likely in a home shop but....CO2 would be much more likely to freeze the regulator.

Reply:On one job I had two shifts welding these together, using dual shield with CO2. Outside in the middle of the winter. Had a he!! of a time with the regulators freezing up. Reply:Co2 is liquid in the tank, the change of phase to gas is why it freezes (especially at high flow rates or when its cold).Other shielding gasses are not liquid in the tank so they don't have this issue.Welding/Fab Pics: www.UtahWeld.com
