I have been lurking around for the last year, as I take a little free time here and there to play with steel in the garage.  Still figuring this out, but having a blast.  Here's a few things I have come up with.  Sorry for the poor quality photo of the bike cog/rotor cube.  Comments and critiques are welcome. Reply:I love the shaving mug and stand. What sort of chain did you use for that Stinkydad.  I would love to make one of them except i shave in the shower. Any ideas for that one mate.
Reply:I like the cube. Looks neat.
Reply:Firemanmike69, yes it was by design.  The project was for a cycling buddy of mine who has a job that accommodates coffee in the morning and beer at the end of day.  So, I had to accommodate right?  Dinkum Dave, the chain is from a bicycle.  Easy to access.  Your local bicycle shop probably has a bucket of junked parts.  It's not a full scrapyard, but there are some interesting pieces to work with and they can usually be obtained with a polite request and or a six-pack.
Reply:This was whipped together from a few scraps on the workbench and and a quick trip to the Michaels Craft store for clock guts.  Christmas gift success. Then a lamp for a dark corner.  Not sure how to take a good picture of the lamp.  Need a smarter phone I guess.
Reply:Nice projects. I love to see projects made from scrap that would otherwise be thrown away. It gives me a lot of ideas thanks for sharing.
