Hi all can I get any recommendations on preping 304 that has been cut with a water jet. I am making some cylinders from 16ga.
Reply:I'm not sure if you need to do anything, but I'd probably get a new flap disc rated for stainless and lightly clean it up with that.

Reply:Clean the water jet edge to shiny metal. Welding through the garnet that is embedded in that edge sucks. Other than that, I do it all day every day. :-D
Reply:Thanks I'm planning to purge the inside. I worried about the garnet causing inclusions from both the cut and the cleaning
