Day of re testing for my KM papers

12 on 12 butt and branch. We have to do this test once every 12 months. On with cellulose and one lohi all the way out. I don't have lay out and fit up pics. Was a lot to do in a day .Here's the pics. All passed Last edited by specopswelder; 01-14-2014 at 10:13 PM.
Reply:Your the man. I tig boiler tube, hand and orbital but would love to work with someone of your caliber and learn your trade. I'd love to see pics of the fit up. The one you lo-hi welded, was it rooted with lo-hi as well?
Reply:Sorry the pictures are kinda blurry and I didn't get any inside shots or the entire weld sequence. Was rushing to get what I got.
Reply:The lohi is a 7016 or 7018 root then 7018 all the way out. It's a challenging one for sure. Once you get the root in its gravy!!Here's a pic of a different lohi I did lastYear Fill pass

Reply:Thanks for the nice words fellas. It's a company requirement to re test every year. We also have to update at 6 months. That just requires a 12 X-ray. Kinda silly since we x ray 100%. Tek. Glad it wasn't a day in the mud or rain ha ha . I would rather save those days or put them off as long as possible. ....... I am still finding dry mud from my trip to Ohio last year ...
