I just recently acquired a decommissioned refrigerator factory. Among the pieces of equipment left are:EDWARDS ADIRAHYDRAULIC PRESS BRAKEMODEL QH6025WILKINS AND MITCHELL 400 TONNE PRESSS7-2/2922450 TONNES- 110 VOLTS 50HZSHEET METAL BENTLEY PRESS SERIES ‘M’ 125 TonnesEDWARDS ADIRA HYDRAULIC PRESS BRAKE QH 9025     BESCO TRUEBEND PUNCH MODEL 40/120Various TRUECUT GUILLOTINES in varying sizes.Numerous smaller bending, cutting, and other odd bits of metal working tools. My question is what is all this worth? Where and who could I sell it to? Do you guys have any interest in it? What are target prices I should aim for?I don't deal with stuff like this and I know most of you guys have a great background in heavy machinery. Thanks for any insight.
Reply:Yellow where are you from.  That could help with some people that might be in your area.
Reply:The equipment will most likely be loaded into a container and could theoretically be at any port. It will probably arrive in Florida and then be routed to where it needs to be. The whole container could be sold as a lot as long as the price is right.Short answer: Equipment is overseas destined for the US. Background:The factory made refrigerators for a large US name brand and had their plant in the Caribbean. I came into play when I acquired the land.

Reply:The dilemma is that this stuff is located in a very remote part of the country. Its all in GREAT shape but how and why it is located there is beyond me. I don't even understand how they got it here. The company sank a lot of money into this factory and just dumped it. I guess they made their money and walked.I am researching my options as to selling it locally but no one even uses this scale of equipment here. There are no "real" manufacturing firms here. I know a lot of this stuff sells well in the UK and other places but its much easier/cheaper to get a container ship into the US than there. I am hoping once it lands it could be auctioned or turned over to a broker.
Reply:For import purposes, you better have a broker and a buyer lined up before shipping, without the proper inbound and destination paperwork accompanying the shipment, the container could be placed in impound, and tied up in red tape for the next century!#1. If you don't like what I wrote, or if it offends you, then don't read it!#2. I am living life the way I see fit, if you don't like the way I'M living, tough sh**!
Reply:These guys have decades of experience buying and selling used equipment, Nationally and internationally, Big stuff, like you have. I will settle for 1/2 of 1% Total sale price. They can make arraignments for transportation, the works. Good luck.http://yodermachinery.net/Lincoln Ranger 8                        Lincoln 175                          Drill pressLincoln 225 mig                            Plasma                              8 ft brake        52" jump shear
