I have a couple of Comparc MIG welders, they worked fine, one of the welding workers reported that while he is welding and stops the trigger, there is some flame coming out from the tip of the nozzle for a second. I changed the guns, the welding lines, the gas regulator and the solenoid and nothing changed. What's weird is that both machines are behaving the same way. Miller or Lincoln welders aren't doing that (provided we are using the same wire over the same material and with same gas for all the machines). This is something that started recently. The machines are old and in good conditions, the welder is the same and never experienced this issue before.I'd appreciate it if somebody has an idea of what may be wrong and give me some advice..Thanks!
Reply:Buy new ''MILLERS'' .
Reply:I prefer Lincolns.. but know I need to fix this...
Reply:I'm thinking you have a shielding gas bottle that previously and improperly was contaminated with a  type of flammable gas in it.   I don't know, maybe oxygen is mixed in with it just enought to cause a small starving flame as you described???Just a guess on my part. Try a new fresh bottle of shielding gas from a DIFFERENT supplier.
