like the title says looking to buy a used miller diversion 165 tig, was gonna get an everlast but after much research and reading idk if i wanna risk it. can't afford a new miller though so looking for a used one. let me know if you have one you wanna get rid of.thanks jim
Reply:Those haven't been out on the market for very long so probly tough to find a used one yet.   Should be able to find a used  EconoTIG fairly easily though.MM350P/Python/Q300MM175/Q300DialarcHFHTP MIG200PowCon300SMHypertherm380ThermalArc185Purox oaF350CrewCab4x4LoadNGo utilitybedBobcat250XMT304/Optima/SpoolmaticSuitcase12RC/Q300Suitcase8RC/Q400Passport/Q300Smith op

Reply:The EconoTIG will do AC tig.  It is larger/heavier than the Diversion.MM350P/Python/Q300MM175/Q300DialarcHFHTP MIG200PowCon300SMHypertherm380ThermalArc185Purox oaF350CrewCab4x4LoadNGo utilitybedBobcat250XMT304/Optima/SpoolmaticSuitcase12RC/Q300Suitcase8RC/Q400Passport/Q300Smith op
Reply:yah after trolling the for sale threads looking for a decently priced econotig, i looked up the shipping weight on it and its like 140lbs. not gonna work for me cause i have an APO address so i can only get stuff shipped to me that can go through usps, i think the max is 100 lbs and 130 total inches. thats gonna really limit what i can get...........so either miller diversion or an everlast.Last edited by jimbos'ss; 08-23-2009 at 03:34 PM.
Reply:Max weight is 70 lbs, jimbos'ssDrink a Guinness Draught....Millermatic 140Do you still rememberDecember's foggy freeze --when the ice thatclings on to your beard isscreaming agony.
Reply:thanks giddy........this is the problem i run into with car parts too.
Reply:Are you sure there is not a Miller welding dealer in your area?  If there is, you're more likely to get a machine made to run on your local electricity supply specs too, rather than buying from the US.  Miller sells and services their welding equipment in most world markets.MM350P/Python/Q300MM175/Q300DialarcHFHTP MIG200PowCon300SMHypertherm380ThermalArc185Purox oaF350CrewCab4x4LoadNGo utilitybedBobcat250XMT304/Optima/SpoolmaticSuitcase12RC/Q300Suitcase8RC/Q400Passport/Q300Smith op
Reply:thats something to look into, but considering the conversion ratio from dollars to euros i'd be paying considerably more, also its germany so anything in the 220-240v range is usually good to go
Reply:JimbosSS,Be aware that Germany's power grid is 50 HZ not 60 HZ as is found in the US.You may be better looking used on the local economy and sell the unit when you get ready to return to the US.When I lived in Germany (Stuttgart), many of the US manufactured appliances (ie Kitchenaid dishwasher) would not operate on the 50 HZ.Syncro 250 DX Dynasty 200 DXMM 251 w/30A SG XMT 304 w/714 Feeder & Optima PulserHH187Dialarc 250 AC/DCHypertherm PM 1250Smith, Harris, Victor O/ASmith and Thermco Gas MixersAccess to a full fab shop with CNC Plasma, Water Jet, etc.
Reply:Germany, should be no problem finding a Miller there, probly Lincoln and ESAB too.MM350P/Python/Q300MM175/Q300DialarcHFHTP MIG200PowCon300SMHypertherm380ThermalArc185Purox oaF350CrewCab4x4LoadNGo utilitybedBobcat250XMT304/Optima/SpoolmaticSuitcase12RC/Q300Suitcase8RC/Q400Passport/Q300Smith op
