Metal cutting chop saw

I have a Evolution 9" circular saw and have excellent results. I am now looking a another saw for cutting angle, sq. stock, etc. in the shop. Dont want another band saw, i was interested in others opinions on a real good saw. I have looked at the Evolution chop saw but didnt know how well the blades would hold up. i own a grading company and do a lot of repair work as well as odd and end fab work. Would these be as good as a slow turning cold saw or is this two completly different animals. I have used some metal chops for cutting aluminum in our fab shop and they held up really well. Any advice or recomendations would be appreciated.

Reply:I have that Rage2 as well and really like it so far.  Cant really speak to how long the blades will hold up because i have only cut on it a hand full of times so far.  Next week I have a project coming up that will involve a lot of cutting of 2"x.25 sqr tubing so I can give an update after I have actually cut a bunch of pieces of the thicker stuff.I only have the multipurpose blade on it now, so have no idea how the blades specific for steel or Al hold up.  I think i remember reading somewhere that a blade is supposed to be good for cutting around 300' of 1/4" material which comes out to 1000+ standard cuts on normal stuff?
Reply:What do you have against a band saw?An actual, for real, cold saw will arguably give you the cleanest, most accurate cuts, but they are very, very expensive.
Reply:Thanks guys, i am leaning towards this saw. I dont have a problem with a band saw, but would like a tool that can also be used in the feild for repair work.
