Reply:Scrap HELL!That's the perfect generator & control for a guy who wants to build a PTO driven machine on the back of a truck.The little Detroit is worth some dollars too if it runs.It's definitely not a factory made machine, and looks like somebody spent alot of hours making it up.
Reply:Yeah when I saw the polarity control and thought it looked like a Lincoln. But some other things looked off. I don't know much else about it, and the town the Auction is in is about 2hrs from where I live. It just so happens I will be there around the time of the auction. I think i'll go check it out, if the price is right (really low) I might wind up taking it home.
Reply:That's definitely a Lincoln machine, my SAE300 has the same controls on it. Job selector on the left, electrode polarity in the middle, and current control steering wheel on the right. Reply:That looks to be  an early 1950's SA300 that had a 6 cylinder gas motor in it.  I believe someone junked the gas motor for the diesel.
