Having trouble figuring this process out. I recently acquired a new machine. A Red-D-Arc aka Ranger 8 engine driven welder. So of course I had to build a skid/cart. Then I had to build the project I wanted the welder for, a 24x30 carport to park my pontoon under. I also updated my welding table with an expanded metal shelf. Just thought I'd throw that in. Last time I typed s this in and tried to upload pictures and lost all the typing. This time I'm just gonna post this and try to attach pictures after.
Reply:Here's the welding cart before I put on the O&A bottle holders.
Reply:Ok , I figured out how to post pics

Reply:Here are the pics flipped... Where did you buy the casters and what load to they carry?  I would like to build something like this as well for my weldanpower.  Nice build, does it roll easy everywhere?  Do you have a way to lock the wheels?Lincoln Weldanpower AC/DCLincoln LN-25Miller WC-115a Miller Spoolmatic 30aCheck out my youtube TV Channel
Reply:That must be a heck of a pontoon boat to build such a nice port!!Thanks for sharing.Cheers, PatrickCheers, Patrick
Reply:Plowboy, I bought the casters at HF. I think they are 250 or 300 lbs each. Straight ones on the front and swivels on the back( where the handle is). I wanted to be able to stand up and work on the boat ant the deck is almost 6ft off ground when the boat is on the trailer. How did y'all flip the pics?

Reply:Don't know about that I'm doing all these posts from my iPhone. They are straight when I attach them but when I hit post they are sideways.
Reply:I forgot the member's name, but he said if you take the picture sideways on your phone they'll end up right side up when you post them.
Reply:Do you have a handle or tow bar on the cart? It looks like it would tow well behind a riding mower.
Reply:Yes I have about a 4 ft long handle on the back. Like a wagon handle except it only moved up and down. Cart is easy enough to move by hand around the shop and out in the yard. If I really need to move it I built it as a skid.  I just hoist it up remove two bolts on each caster then set it down in my truck or on a trailer.
Reply:That's one good looking and functional cart. Like the big wheels, very handy and convenient around the shop. Great job!
Reply:Carport all done. Thanks for the comp. on the cart. It's also a skid, all I have to do is unbolt the wheels while I've got it up in the air then set it in pickup or on trailer and bolt it down.
Reply:Looks great!
Reply:The wheels on that cart would be great for bumping over the lip into a shop or garage... I might have to get me a set.
