propane cutting torch

The guy at propane sale says I have to buy a new regulator to switch to propane.Next door the junk yard guy says he uses an acet.regulator for propane,they work fine.Now what do I do? Ask you guys!And how about tips?Are they the same?tractor,loader.dozer,backhoe,and all the tools to keep em movin
Reply:You will need different tips and a different hose to use propane. The acet reg you have will also work with propane as is..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Reply:i know the tips are different. not sure about the others. i cant stand propane torches. i know they are more ecinomical, but i'm not a big fan. just my opinion though, no trying to sway ya.
