I was bored and hungry for a burger. Got this idea of using scrap to build this multiple layer burger press. All you have to do is divide with wax paper a measured amount of ground beef. After compressing them with my shop press it makes four well packed burgers that won't fall apart on the grill  .  They were really good by the way. Reply:Dang, and all this time I'd been using oatmeal to keep my hand-pressed patties together on the grill. Then again, when your only tool is a hammer (welder?) every problem looks like a nail....

Reply:Focaccia bread has a square profile that matches that burger profile and really compliments the burger as a bun.
Reply:Hmmmmmm......... I have made a few of those, almost exact, for some people I used to work with..................... and they weren't gonna be used for burgers. Just sayin....... Reply:I'm thinking a hole in the center on the bottom. Then a rod/pipe welded perpendicular to a plate.  This could be slide down into the bottom of a taller version. You could press 10 at one time, flip it over, push the rod they would all come right out.

Reply:The bread to meat ratio is all wrong with ciabatta.
