I was planning to tack it with the mig then find somebody with a tig... (I don't dare try to mig the entire thing myself) but then I found some info on Silicon-bronze brazing wire / migHas anyone used this method?from what I'm reading, It's the cats azz for body panels and light sheet metal. some info- http://www.cadvision.com/blanchas/54...g-brazing.htmlMiller 211Hypertherm PM 451961 Lincoln Idealarc 250HTP 221 True Wisdom only comes from Pain.
Reply:It's a good process to have under your belt but don't expect miracles. If your metal is too thin you can still burn holes, especially if fit-up is less than ideal. Weldingsupply.com has good prices and selection of Si. bronze wire. You will definitely want to practice with scraps of the same gauge metal first.JohnA few weldersA lot of hammersA whole lot of C-clamps
