here are a few pics of my lathe and tooling that came with it.Everything seems good and tight and in working order except the 4 jaw chuck.The wood stand even has a metal atlas badge on it

Reply:Nice. I just picked up a 12x36 Atlas I am making a stand for right now. Can;t wait to start learning. I have read the manual about 5 times now, but it doesn't make sense till I put it to use.
Reply:Its a th54 10" swing 36"center to center and yes it has a back gear.I havent made anything with it yet but it sure is fun playing with it while i learn to use it.Next on my list is a small milling machine.
Reply:The middle chuck is NOT for drilling or milling.It's an armature chuck,used like a steady rest but on the tailstock.Set it on the work just tight enough that the work will rotate with no play then l tighten the lock ring and keep the brass jaws oiled when rotating the work in them. It's a handy accessorie.Make lots of cuttings,you are going to have fun.tractor,loader.dozer,backhoe,and all the tools to keep em movin
Reply:Nice find, hondaman!!One accessory you should try to find is a Jacobs headstock chuck, Model 59B.It screws right on to the spindle nose and is great for smaller diameter work (3/16"-3/4").Here's a pic:Funny, I just noticed that the conduit on the wall looks like it's being held by the chuck.There's nothing in the chuck in the pic.Keep an eye out for a quick change gearbox, as well.
