This is the first piece of furniture I've done in steel. This is a Twin XL size frame for my son, who did all the sanding on the metal to get it to the patina he wanted. Good father and son project. It's mostly 3" square tube 11 ga. with some 1 1/2" 14 ga. tube for the rails. It was finished with automotive clear coat. The wood in the headboard and footboard is soft maple finished with satin lacquer. It's built like a tank and weighs about as much as one too Thanks for looking!Jeff
Reply:I'm pretty sure that one won't break down when someone jumps on it. Looks great to me.
