I haven't been here for awhile, family and work. Very unusual weather here in south Louisiana, third ice storm this winter. Today is Mardi Gras and didn't feel like going to the parades with all the ice, so I took out the camera and decided to post some of the projects I've been working on. These are some deer feeders that the boss wanted, a ladder and platform to be able to fill them. They hold 1000 lbs. I did 4 of them. Attached Images
Reply:cajun welderInteresting units - what is the feed-mix?Opus
Reply:The next set is one of 3 duck blinds I'm building. I made the 2 man blind already, but forgot the camera. This is his 5 man blind. He's not a big man, that's why he says 5, but I call it a 4. I did the fabricating and had 2 co-workers do the welding. One forgot his cap and had a few sparks get him, bet he didn't forget it the next day. This one is 3' wide 4' tall and 12' long, all 3/16 plate welded with er70s-6, 75-25 mix, .035 solid wire. I'll be starting the third one next week , and that one will have an area inside for a heater, chairs, small stove, etc. Attached Images
Reply:I don't know the feed mix, he just purchased 500 acres of land, and is going to hi-fence it to raise big quality bucks.
Reply:Nice, please post final pics. Can't wait to see the last one.
Reply:I can't wait to start it. It's nice to do something different.
Reply:You're having too much fun, a lot of great builds and interesting projects you have. Can't wait to see the finished duck blinds. Awesome work! |
