I found this unit. I am not apposed to working on it if it is worth it: "no longer gets arc started. Worked for many years w.out problems...starts to strike arc but makes humming sound"Asking $300 with foot pedal and a new torch.I figure if I can't get it going I can use it for parts on another, scrap the rest and still have a pedal and new torch. What do you think??
Reply:I have the same machine and they are pretty much bulletproof so I say GET IT!Steve (7A749) can help ya out.He knows these machines inside and out so you have "Tech Support" to a degree......zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.
Reply:Pretty hard to go wrong. I paid $100 for mine not working, got parts and a pedal for another $125.Here are some manuals and a tech manual.https://www.dropbox.com/sh/7ijbgx67wuq6ivd/sYvAlvq_LCLast edited by MinnesotaDave; 01-18-2014 at 01:41 PM.Dave J.Beware of false knowledge; it is more dangerous than ignorance. ~George Bernard Shaw~ Syncro 350Invertec v250-sThermal Arc 161 and 300MM210DialarcTried being normal once, didn't take....I think it was a Tuesday.
