Reply:Is this a new weld or an old one?
Reply:Generally I start the weld on the stop drill hole, weld half way on the crack, stop. Feather that stop with a die grinder. Start on the other stop drill hole and weld towards the first weld stop.Dont pay any attention to meIm just a hobbyist!CarlDynasty 300V350-Pro w/pulseSG Spool gun1937 IdealArc-300PowerArc 200ST3 SA-200sVantage 400
Reply:Do just like you said. Drill grind weld. Bevel thru the drill hole so you can get full penetration. Or grind past the crack a ways(depending on length of crack) and weld till the groove is full. If this is structural you might need to post some pics.
