I am in the market for a nice brake and I stumbled across this one from a dealer here in town. It's 12ga x 4feet. I called about it and he didn't know much about it other than it is an imported copy of the chicago brakes. Sold by a company here in Denver. I used my google-fu to try and come up with something about it and zip. Hopefully someone here can give me some insight. Also since it is only a few miles away, I'm going to go check it out. I have very little experience with brakes. Anything in particular I should look out for. BTW it is going for $2900 which seems like a fair price. Reply:That price sounds really high, look for a used tennsmith, do you need a finger brake or is that just what you found, finger brakes are for braking boxes or sheet metal with3 or more sides and or corners, hope this helps ,Jeff.

Reply:2900 sounds high for a clone brake. I think you should be able to find a decent Dries & Krump 412-6 brake for about that money, if you looked around hard enough.Who is John Galt? |
