stackable sawhorses

Just a few sawhorses I built for my shop. The dims are 16w x 20h x 24 for the longest,21 the shortest. Did a FEA stress calc and rated them so i where to stop loading them. Reply:Thanks! Was kinda born of the need for light strong and compact. I had thought of foldables but i always picture those at construction sights in a tangled mess. :-)

Reply:I've got a bunch of steel legs for barricades from the township years ago when they replaced the "dangerous" steel ones with fiberglass. You slip a 2x8 thru the legs. Makes a nice knock down horse for transport, though the top isn't dead flat. I use them mostly when I need really long horses for projects..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Reply:I have four sets of legs.  They are one foot pieces of 2 1/2" schedule forty pieces of pipe with two inch schedule forty pipe legs.  They take up little space and I can use whatever length of two inch schedule forty pieces of pipe I need for the horizontals.  I have even used twenty four foot lengths one time for staining a bunch of cedar planks on a job.  They're about as handy as a pocket on a shirt.life is good
