Scratch built MiniBike . . .

Here is what I have been working on for the last 3-4 weeks. Scratch built from scrap in the shop. I had to buy the tube for the handlebars and some 3/16" flat for the front axle tabs. I wish I had had a plan to go by, but after a few zigs and zags this is what I ended up with. Reply:Get that Throttle cable hooked direct to the Carb Throttle Plate, then you will know what fast is!Our 5hp Briggs would haul a 8 and 10 year old at 35 mph!It would outperform all the store bought minbikes and minicycles around!

Show them a picture, and they're like "wow, that's cool!". Burpee - holy cats*it. I ain't riding that! Reply:A minibike was my first "dirtbike". Haha, just 5 years ago for ripping around. Ended up trading for a bunch of stuff and ended up with a bass guitar...Always thought about a minibike build...Who knows...

Reply:RVHOP- I bought a frameless kit from www.ombwarehouse.com that had the 8" wheels, tires, tubes, axles (which I switched to 5/8" bolts),cables, seat (which my wife and I made a custom seat instead), hardware, etc. More money than I wanted to spend, but worked out fine. If you decide to build one, let me know and I will give you some basic dimensions like front fork width 5.25", back width 7.25", etc. With a few dimensions, you can build it anyway you want!CharleyL - not sure of your question. I think you must be referring to the engine that Sky Hy posted. On mine the gas tank is just stock on the top front. I did nothing to the engine except add an oil drain pipe, clutch, and attach throttle cable. The throttle is very easy with the HF Predator engine. Oh, and I connected the kill switch.
