Reply:This is a trailer I salvaged the x-members from. The axles were bent so I couldn't use them. The tank I'm using is in the background.The next pic is the trailer for the grill. Reply:I am pretty sure (know for a fact) that axles come from the factory with a bend in them. (Counter bend when weight is added) They are not straight. But, i assume you know that and its bent in another way? I might just be making myself look like a fool, right now...But, looking at the picture, it seems the new axles are just square tube, with the hubs welded on? But, I suspect i am making myself look like a moron right now.
Reply:What style of smoker are you going for.  Reverse flow, Diamond plate clone?  I can give you some pictures of a 250 gallon reverse flow I build last year.  I am going to build a 150 gallon Diamond plate clone this summer.  A good source for smoker ideas is a site called  "The Smoke Ring".Dan

Reply:Here's the progress from today. Slow going it seems. Tuning plates in the tank 1/4x6" flat bar. They'll be adjustable and fasten down with two u-bolts per plate. Then the fire box and warming oven started. 1/4" plate on the back, sides, and top also on the oven doors. He's going down to Daytona for bike week to cook for a bunch of heavy hitters so he said two hogs will be cooking to test it before he goes. I can't wait! Reply:Ok, I need to vent a little. My land lord came into my shop and just this fast he says....I just came down here to tell you the rent is going up 100.00 starting April 1st IF YOURE STILL HERE....So I says ...April 1st eh? .....yep April 1st. And then as fast as he came in he went out!!! It really ticks me off cuz I have to put up with his recovering pill head son who comes down there all the time, most of the time he's high and talking about some stupid crap the I have to tune out just so I don't loose my train of thought and now he comes in there telling me this knowing that it's gonna screw with my head while I'm trying to get a hold on this job. I feel like just beating a hole in my shop floor oh wait I mean his shop floor. You can bet I'll be charging him for all the deer stands and little nit picky sh!t he brings me now. I want to get this thing done real bad now!! Then it's gonna be time to move all my stuff to my house where I plan to build a shop anyway. Reply:Warming oven racksTuning plates fastened with u-boltsTrying to put some weight on the front. Got 3/4 square bar in this 3" tubeTrailer jack(used) modified the handleAlso put on the coupler and grease drain in the tank but forgot to take pics. Hope to get the wood racks and fenders on tomorrow. Also another counterweight for the front, looks like it's gonna need about 300#!!! And a slide out table over the wood rack in the front.
