I have a Weldanpower 225/210 welder, code 9112. I just rebuilt the Brigg and Stratton motor. When I reassembled it all together, fired it up the machine stays low idle and the switch won`t bring it to high idle. Everything worked before the rebuild, all wiring is back where it belongs according to M15068 of my manual. Any ideas will greatly be appreciated. Thank you.
Reply:Did you remove the governor lever during the rebuild? If so, my guess is you don't have it indexed correctly on the governor output shaft.MM200 w/Spoolmatic 1Syncrowave 180SDBobcat 225G Plus - LP/NGMUTT Suitcase WirefeederWC-1S/Spoolmatic 1HF-251D-1PakMaster 100XL '68 Red Face Code #6633 projectStar Jet 21-110Save Second Base!
Reply:Yes I did.
Reply:How did you position/adjust the governor lever to the shaft?Should be with all linkage in place, throttle at full open, turn governor shaft full CW, tighten lever pinch bolt.Last edited by duaneb55; 06-07-2015 at 09:22 PM.MM200 w/Spoolmatic 1Syncrowave 180SDBobcat 225G Plus - LP/NGMUTT Suitcase WirefeederWC-1S/Spoolmatic 1HF-251D-1PakMaster 100XL '68 Red Face Code #6633 projectStar Jet 21-110Save Second Base!
Reply:I checked the position and it was good. The idler solenoid still holds it to low ide and the high idle/auto idle doesn`t make a difference.
Reply:I guess I misunderstood your original description and didn't realize the solenoid stays energized and took it the engine governor simply kept it at low idle. That said, when you switch the auto idle switch to "High Idle", 12VDC(+) to the board and idler solenoid on wire #213 should go away thus de-energizing it to release low idle. If 12VDC(+) power remains at the board and solenoid (wires #213) with the idler switch in "High Idle" then I would check the idler switch for being defective (always on) or double check your wiring.MM200 w/Spoolmatic 1Syncrowave 180SDBobcat 225G Plus - LP/NGMUTT Suitcase WirefeederWC-1S/Spoolmatic 1HF-251D-1PakMaster 100XL '68 Red Face Code #6633 projectStar Jet 21-110Save Second Base! |
