3200 HD help

Hi,This is my first post and my first welder.  I just got Lincoln 3200 HD and I ran the spool of self shielding wire that came with it with no problem (man that stuff makes a mess).  Yesterday I got myself a bottle of shield gas (Co2/Argon) and did about 3 tack welds with L-56 .6mm wire and then it stopped feeding, the motor would not make any sounds when I would pull the trigger to feed the wire threw.  Today I checked the trigger and connections inside of the wire feed side of the welder and they all looked normal but it still won't work.  Is this a common problem and what is it?!

Reply:If the motor control circuit board has failed, maybe you could take it back and get another one....I'm hoping you got it from Home Depot or Lowes since I know that they sell that model at those stores. I'm sure you could get another one.

Reply:Could be something as simple as a faulty trigger switch or trigger lead.
Reply:Check the leads from the trigger where they connect under the side cover of the welder.  You might have bumped one loose replacing the welding wire reel.My angle grinder is my best friend!
Reply:Checked the leads they are connected and still nothing. Tomarrow i will go to home depo and get a new trigger and see if that fixes it.
Reply:In my opinion STOP! don't touch anything! you bought a nice welder, it is a Lincoln and they will stand behind It if it is a new welder. If you bought it off of EBAY or not of it is new they will stand behind it. You may not be able to weld for a little longer but I would contact them, They will give you a repair facility to goto and the problem will be solved. If this were me I would be up for days until it was fixed. I am just like that. Reply:Does it have a manual with a Troubleshooting section? It could be something simple like a reset button or a fuse?? I'm not familiar with this machine so I'm only guessing.Always looking for another old VW, especially in the southeast.
