Reply:Yes, just not the other way around.GravelThe difference between theory and practice is that in theory there is no difference.
Reply:Double check that though because there are solvents in Propane that may damage acetylene hose over time.GravelThe difference between theory and practice is that in theory there is no difference.
Reply:R grade hose is acetylene only.T grade hose is propane and other fuels.Dave J.Beware of false knowledge; it is more dangerous than ignorance. ~George Bernard Shaw~ Syncro 350Invertec v250-sThermal Arc 161 and 300MM210DialarcTried being normal once, didn't take....I think it was a Tuesday.
Reply:Propane hose is T rated. You can use propane hose on acetylene, but not acetylene hose for propane. This is per the manufacturer for long term use. I have seen regular hose used for propane many times tho.

Reply:Thank youTHis is the project, Just a bit of welding but, at least we have a campfire this seasonThe fun part was scaring the crap out of myself cutting a 20lb propane bottle!1 by bikeboy1234, on Flickr1 by bikeboy1234, on Flickr
Reply:If the valve was removed from the propane cylinder, there wouldn't be any propane left because it would have evaporated. Still a good idea to rinse it out first though. Neat little BBQ but watch that the rocks don't explode from getting too hot. |
